On October 22th, German Federal Ministry of Education and Research awarded the “Green Elite” Prize to 25 young scientific researchers including two Chinese scholars in Berlin to honor their innovative research in the field of sustainable development. One of Chinese scholars is Di Zhou, a postdoctoral researcher from Wuhan University. Zhou’s research direction is ecological civilization, sustainable development and environmental law. The jury appreciated Zhou’s interests in a number of displines and her contribution to laws concerning sustainable development, saying that such efforts could make the rule of law a propeller for sustainable development and ecological civilization.
